What does D.T. Solutions do? 
D.T. Solutions is a time sensitive courier/transport company which commenced operations in 1999. We are dedicated to providing a professional, flexible, efficient and cost effective transport solution to our customers when time is of the essence.

2) Products and Services  

What are the different services offered by D.T. Solutions.? 

  1. Time Sensitive SDX Inter City (ONLY MAJOR CENTRES WITH AIRPORTS) 
    Time critical with an absolute guarantee. Service with a difference. 7 days a week - 24 hours per day. Designed to cater for extremely urgent shipments that must arrive on the same day. Priority loadings on next available flight. Proof of delivery confirmed once completed. Delivery within 1½ hours of flight arrival, subject to flight availability. 
     
  2. Time Sensitive SDX Intra City (ONLY MAJOR CENTRES) 
    An efficient speedy same-day door-to-door express within the same city. Collection is made from your desired collection address immediately on receipt of your request. A driver is dispatched and will deliver your item to its forwarded address as soon as possible within the same day and within the same city.
     
  3. Time Sensitive SDX Drive-away Express 
    An efficient speedy same day door-to-door drive-away express service. This service is for important parcels that need to be delivered to centres that do not have airports and for cargo too heavy or dangerous to fly. Collection is made from your desired collection address immediately on receipt of your request. A driver is dispatched and will drive to any destination in Africa to deliver your item to its forwarded address as soon as possible. Time is dependent on distances travelled. 
     
  4. On Board Courier 
    In situations where there are sensitive documents and should the client find it necessary, we will have a member of our team hand deliver your sensitive documents or parcel, ensuring personal delivery to its destination. This service is available for deliveries between Main Centre’s only. 
     
  5. Sun Rise Courier (ONLY MAJOR CENTRES WITH AIRPORTS) 
    For time-sensitive shipments that should be delivered by the start of business the day after collection. Collection will be effected throughout the day for dispatch overnight by express air cargo. Delivery is performed on a door-to-door basis, and will be achieved between 07h00 and 09h00 the following business day. 
     
  6. Direct Part-load Road Freight 
    A reliable service that represents excellent value for money, designed for the heavier, less time sensitive shipments from 500kg to 3000kg. Collection will be effected throughout the day; your goods will then be consolidated and dispatched by road freight. Delivery is performed on a door-to-door basis, and will be achieved within 48 hours, dependant on distance.  
     
  7. Direct Loads 
    This extremely cost effective delivery service is reserved for very large, shipments of 8 ton to 36 ton. Collection will be effected throughout the day; your goods will then be shipped directly to the client’s desired destination. Delivery is performed on a door-to-door basis, and will be achieved within 48 hours, dependant on distance.

    Yes, we are at your call and provide a genuine 24 hour, 7 days a week service all year round.

3) Collections and Dispatch

How do I place a collection? 
To place a collection, call 086 111 4617 or complete the collection on our web site @
www.timesensitive.co.za

What information is required when placing a collection?
The caller must have the following information on hand when booking a collection.

  • ACCOUNT NUMBER or cash collections
  • COLLECTION ADDRESS (proper full physical address)
  • CONTACT PERSONS NAME AND PHONE NUMBER
  • TIME PARCEL WILL BE READY FOR COLLECTION
  • CLOSING TIME
  • NUMBER OF SHIPMENTS AND THEIR DESTINATIONS
  • MASS AND DIMENSIONS OF EACH PARCEL
  • STATE WHETHER INSURANCE IS REQUIRED AND IF SO WHAT THE VALUE AND CONTENTS ARE

What lead time is required for collection booking?
Collection cut off time is two hours from time parcel(s) is ready for collection during working hours.
Kindly call 086 111 4617 for the different area cut off times

Why do I need to stipulate all my collections and their destinations when calling?
This information helps speed up the driver’s collection process and helps the billing process.

Why is the reference number supplied to you important?
This enables you to call D.T. Solutions back and make changes to your collection details.

Can the driver bring a specialized vehicle, such as a flat bed, crane truck, or tail lift truck?
Yes, however this needs to be arranged with (086 111 4617) 24 hours before the collection is ready.

What do I need to do if I need a collection with an empty truck?
Try to place the collection at least 12 hours beforehand to ensure availability of required vehicle.

Can the driver complete the dispatch note?
No, this is because the dispatch note is a legal document and can only be completed by the sender.
It is important to remember to sign the dispatch note.

Why must I complete the dispatch note when my client requests the collection?
This is because the dispatch note is a legal document and may only be completed by the sender.
The onus for the correct delivery address and delivery lies with the sender.

Do D.T. Solutions offer an online order/collection system?
Yes, we do offer an online order/collection system which is available to cash and account holders.

4) Insurance  

Can I take insurance?  
Yes, this can be arranged for you by calling  086 111 4617.

5) Packaging Requirements

Why must I package my goods properly? 
This ensures the safe transportation of your goods from origin to destination and avoids handling damage. 

Do D.T. Solutions provide packaging or do I need to use my own? 
Any packaging required is the responsibility of the customer. 

Can the driver give me my package mass and dimensions? 
No, the driver does not have the necessary equipment to weigh and measure each package collected.

6) International Shipping Requirements 

Can D.T. Solutions send goods across border?
Yes, however customers need to contact 086 111 4617 to confirm documentation required for this
.

7) Exceptions  

Do D.T. Solutions transport guns?  
No. We do not have a licence to transport weapons.

Do D.T. Solutions transport dangerous goods?  
No.

What do I do if I want to pay cash for collections?

You need to contact 086 111 4617 with your collection details, including dimensions, mass.

We will also need to know the origin and destination for a precise quote.

Please ensure that you have the correct amount of money ready for the driver when he arrives.

We also accept crossed (NOT TRANSFERABLE) cheques, made out to: Doug Taylor Solutions cc

Can I make electronic payments instead of paying cash?

Yes, merely record the reference number and fax through the confirmation to 086 6899460

The payment needs to be verified with the bank before the driver dispatched.
